I took a trip to Málaga today with a couple of friends. One drove, the other guided us and I took the photos. The area known as Lagunillas is absolutely full of street art. Hi Ina. The area is rather dilapidated and there are many hoardings and shutters that provide the canvases.

Hi Randa, I have edited my post to state that the area I visited is Lagunillas, which forms a triangle behind the Cervantes Theatre and Plaza Merced – we walked along many streets, alleys and plazas, and quite probably missed some of the art. The area of Soho is closer to the beach and has commissioned art on the buildings.

Oh wow, I knew about the art in Soho but I had no idea about this area near Plaza de la Merced. We’re headed back to Malaga at the end of the summer so I’m putting this on my list of things to see. Thanks so much for sharing and for the wonderful photos!
