And last, but hopefully not least, in my little flurry of posting…I uploaded a couple of camino videos to youtube some time back, but don’t think I announced it on the blog.
The first, rather long, one incorporates all stages of my 2017 camino including the Camino de Madrid, San Salvador, Primitivo and Fisterra. It is in my usual style, trying to give a feel for the entire camino, this time using more video footage. You will need to set aside the best part of an hour if you are going to tackle this. If you just want to experience one of the routes, you can skip ahead as follows
Camino de Madrid starts the film
The Salvador starts at minute 21:55
The Primitivo at 32:55
And the Fisterra at 50:32
Then I made a much shorter video to use at a presentation I gave towards the end of last year and includes images and footage from all my caminos. It is definitely not my usual style – short, very fast paced and rather dramatic. Too fast for some, although I really like it. If you watch it directly in youtube by clicking here rather than on the image below, you can fiddle with the settings and slow it down a bit by clicking on the cog wheel icon and adjusting the speed option (although I can see now that I can do that directly from within the blog post – this might not be the same for everyone).
That’s it folks. No more until I have finished the planning for my next camino, which should be fairly soon.
Great to have you back. I miss you x

Wow!… I found myself saying “Wow” a whole bunch of times throughout this hour long video. Your post caught me at the perfect time of morning coffee and crawl back in bed time… was able to enjoy it all in one sitting. Great pics and videos and what a fabulous walk it must have been. You covered pretty much everything worth covering (walking) on the Camino. Great job! Cheers

A very happy presentation of caminos. Perfect timing for me to watch first part -starting Camino Madrid in March.
Good to get a ‘sneek-peek’ of it.
Thankyou

Make sure you have some warm clothes Annie, even at the end of April it was very cold in the mornings although it warmed nicely during the day. Buen camino!

Thanks Jenny. The idea for the short video came from one that was posted to the forum which really impressed me, so I can’t claim any originality – other than the images used. Do you have camino plans this year? There must come a time when we finally get to meet. xx

Hi Maggie – I’m walking for about three weeks from mid-June from either St Jean or Pamplona, possibly with David. The plan is to do first aid as we go. I’m rostered on again at Rabanal from mid-July, for two weeks, with my friends Gilbert and Paul from the CSJ. It should be a wonderful time – ‘can’t wait.
Fingers crossed that we do catch up one of these days! I defy anyone to get in the way of our huge catch-up conversation!!!
Camino hugs –

i really enjoy all your posts ,and the music you choose to go with them .Envious of your technological skills !
Am going to do the Madrid Camino as far as Saghun at least ,with my daughter who has not done any caminoing before .Am assuming from looking at the route that we can do less than 27km,at least at beginning
Starting March 23 this year ,i know its early but …….to fit in.Ha ! Do you still live near Granada ? Often imagine you there .Love your blood .

Thanks for your comment. My longest recorded stage was 31 km on day 6, but it might be possible to break this up. The albergue in Medina de Rioseco has recently closed so if you want to stop in this beautiful town it will be in private accommodation of which there is bound to be plenty. I found it quite cold in the mornings as you are walking at 750+ metres for much of the way. Take some warm gloves just in case.
Buen camino!
